Karl McCartney JP, The Conservative Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the City of Lincoln, has received the support of the Minister of State for Skills and Equalities, Nick Boles.
Mr Boles, who is himself standing again for the Grantham and Stamford Constituency, joined Karl and his Campaign Team in the Centre of the City on Wednesday morning, where they spoke to tens of local residents.
Karl McCartney JP, said: “I am very grateful to Nick for coming with his team from his own Grantham and Stamford Constituency to Lincoln City and joining my Campaign Team on the doorstep today.
“Both Nick and I, along with my canvassers, enjoyed talking to residents about the progress we’ve made over the last five years and how we’ll build on our achievements over the next five years.
“Nick is well aware that if our Party wins well here then the Conservatives will in all probability be the majority Party in Parliament.
“That’s why it’s so important that we continue to reiterate our message that this Election is a choice between the strong leadership and competence of David Cameron – and the weak and chaotic leadership of Ed Miliband, propped up by the SNP.
“It’s a choice between a stronger economy and a brighter future for our City, County and Country with the Conservatives – or more borrowing, higher taxes, weaker defences and more debt under Labour – with voters in Lincoln and elsewhere paying for it."
The Minister of State for Skills and Equalities, Nick Boles, said: “It was great fun campaigning with my Lincolnshire colleague Karl. Over the last five years, Karl has been a strong local champion for Lincoln in Westminster pushing for investment on transport, jobs and tourism.
“He has had plenty of success with new investment for the Lincoln-to-Nottingham rail-line and funds to support the magnificent Magna Carta celebrations this year.
“However, there is still plenty more to do for this great City. My message is let Karl finish the job by re-electing him as MP for Lincoln on May 7.”
